Founder of Optimal Power Performance, certified strength and conditioning
specialist (CSCS), westside barbell special strengths coach (WSBB) functional range conditioning mobility specialist (FRCms), and a leading expert in baseball skills training and education.
This is our most exclusive player development program for high school and college baseball players.
We train high school baseball players (14+) who want to land D1 scholarships or eventually get drafted into MLB. But we also help current collegiate-level and professional players who want to maximize their skills and talents as well.
Our training system will provide you with the proper guidance, detailed feedback, in-depth training (and more) you need from our dedicated team of expert coaches and trainers.
Heres some of our statistics from last summers development program…
It’s no secret, in todays game velocity gets you in the door. It’s hard to get your opportunity at the next level with a baseline velocity that can play at that level. If you’re a pitcher who wants to increase your velocity or maybe just improve your current aresenal, then we can help you.
During your development process, you’ll undergo a detailed assessment that’ll look closely at your mechanics. You’ll then receive a fully tailored throwing program that’ll help you achieve your biggest goals as a pitcher.
Most pitchers need velocity training. Others may require training that’s focused on pitch design, or live competition against our own hitters.
Either way, you can rest easy knowing that we have the proper training and technology you need to maximize your performance (including Rapsodo, Stalker Radar Guns, and Hittrax for Live AB’s).
Do you want to improve your bat speed, hitting power, and consistency? If so, then we can help you develop into the hitter you’ve always wanted to become.
During your hitting development, you’ll undergo an assessment that’ll look closely at how you swing. You’ll then receive step-by-step hitting instructions in a small group setting from our team of experts.
Our hitters have access to Hittrax technology so they can always see where they stack up. We also provide Live At Bats indoors at our location so seeing live arms happens regularly at OPP.
You’ll quickly discover exactly why OPP hitters like Isaac Wersland stand out from all other baseball players…
Most position players need velocity training. Figuring out how to manage that workload in-season and in your off-season is key to maximizing your velocity gain year after year.
We will tailor a throwing program to your needs similar to that of our pitchers. We base our programming decisions off of time of year, throwing mechanics, training history and more.
You can rest easy knowing that we have the proper training and technology you need to maximize your performance (including Stalker Radar Guns and Hittrax for live at bats).
“Training with OPP has allowed me to play at the collegiate level. Going from a junior topping 81 mph to a senior hitting 90 mph. Aj has provided me the framework to get me where I am now. Throughout my 3 years with OPP, I have continuously made strides both in the weight room and on the field. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to train with OPP”
-Damian Tillie, Franklin College
“OPP is the ideal training facility and environment for any baseball player looking to take thier game to the next level. Aj and the OPP team are second to none in looking after your development, tailoring a program to you, and offering a service that is unmatched. After with OPP in house and remotely since 2021, I’ve taken tremendous strides in my game going from D3 school to a D1. None of it would be possible without the help of Aj and his team. As a college athlete who has always been in search for a facility/program that provides the energy, environment, and development like OPP does, I would highly recommend it to any high school, college or pro athlete.”
-Max Smyley, Gardner-Webb University
“When I first started remote training with OPP, I was fresh off getting released from a short 10 day stint in the frontier league. I was sitting 90-92 at the time. After following the programming, all of the hard work in the weight room translated to the field. This last season, I sat 93-96 touching 97. I’m still consistently seeing results. Can’t wait to see what this season has in store. Wouldn’t be where I am today without the help of OPP”
-Matt Dallas, New Jersey Jackals In The Canadian American Association Of Professional Baseball League
Due to the significant volume of incoming athletes each summer, OPP is not in a position to facilitate the housing search and logistics process, so athletes are expected to handle this task. I can’t say for sure what each athlete’s lifestyle habits look like, so it is tough to project exact cost of food, but I would be comfortable predicting that you can find housing in our area for somewhere between $400-$1,000/month, depending on how many people the athlete is willing to live with and how nice the athlete would like it to be.
